Black coffee is some bullshit, you need the milk to take out the bitterness.

I drink black coffee without anything in it and its delicious. I'm not even some kind of coffee snob, I just get beans from TJs. You can get used to eating or drinking just about anything if you don't run away from bold flavors like a child seeking the comfort of cream and sugar.

When Circuit City was shutting down and putting everything on clearance, it was great on one hand (got a ton of great CDs, and discovered some artists that I would have never given a chance before), and depressing on the other (watching employees have to deal with everyone feasting on the dying carcass that was their source of income coming to an end).

VH4Ever posted:Let me throw something out there that's really similar, and really weird, to this that I've observed lately. You ever try to buy underwear at a Wal-Mart lately? The only brands that were stocked with any care at all were their own house brand. The rest (Hanes, Fruit of the Loom, etc) were literally just thrown around the shelves, not organized by type whatsoever (briefs with boxers with boxer briefs and no accurate price tags on anything) with no consistent sizes available for anything. I've been to like four Wal-Marts over the last few months in two states (I moved) and they were ALL this way. And this isn't exactly a store on a death watch or anything. What's up with that? Did MeUndies kill this side of their business? They cut headcount further, so shelves are getting faced less often. Same reason they have automated floor waxers and inventory robots rolling around, and tore out half their checkouts to put in two huge banks of self-checkouts with one bored person at each on their cell phone all day.

In addition, unlike a anchor chain store that may be getting a heavily subsidized lease and/or anchor fees to spruce up the place, etc. from the landlord, they own the underlying properties so they get the full overhead brunt plus unlike a Google, Amazon, etc. I seriously doubt they have any incentive credits of worth from the state/locality so they're not cushioning most/all of the expenses at the taxpayer expense. In summation: looks good for Fry's Electronics!

Freakazoid_ posted:Sounds like you've got a masculinity issue. gently caress right off with that. Drinking black coffee isn't a faux masculinity thing, my SO and I both prefer it that way because we like to actually taste the coffee that we buy. I'm assuming that this goon feels the same. My 90 year old grandmother drinks black coffee. No one is bragging about how manly drinking black coffee makes them, the point being made is simply about flavor. Like how someone having their first-ever glass of wine probably won't appreciate the flavor as much as a person having their ten thousandth, a large component of whether you're able to enjoy black coffee comes from simple sampling repetition (see also: spicy foods, hoppy beers, etc)
