Just come back from canvassing in Exeter w/goons. Good folks to go canvassing with, had a mixed reception but a lot of people out (inevitably, given it was ten in the morning)

Then Ben Bradshaw joined us and he's a dickhead. Overheard him talking to a nana about how 'we' don't like Corbyn either, and that she should vote Labour so 'we' could have a 'sensible' leader. Left after that and won't be going back, there are better people than enemies of my enemies to campaign for

This still worries me a bit that some of these Bradshaw types get in on the back of hard working labour volunteers and then switch allegiance on day 2 of parliament to cuktigs or libdems or whoever.
Maybe we should have registered ourselves as Independent Brexit party candidates and then switched to labour if we got in.

Can't get no luck.

Bit late but when I got in my car this morning the first thing I heard on (Canadian) radio was “In London, *dong, dong* mourners have gathered to pay respect to... those who lost their lives in a terror attack...”.

Immediately thought “Holy poo poo!” Then “oh, yeah”.

Just worked 7 days straight (one day I came into work because they were low on staff and I could get time and a half for working), but really tired.

I've seen nothing but positive stuff towards labour on my feed, most of whom are fairly normal folks, but I hope it is getting shared widely.

And those checks are a lot less strict than the checks to see if you're Jewish if, for example, you want to marry another Jew in Israel. It's real easy because Israel is fighting a demographic war against the Palestinians all the time.

Seriously, unless you have some sort of medical condition that you can't, try them. When I had to come back to the dark, gloomy, wet UK for 3 months unexpectedly after living in sunny climes for several years, they were a godsend. D3 are supposedly the best (they're all I've tried). I noticed the difference within 3 days. Got to be worth a try.

Also, can you get out of your workplace for 20 minutes midday (or anytime?)

Not much, it's up to Scottish Labour to make policies for the Scottish parliament and Scottish Labour are a bunch of Blairites who voted for Owen Smith over Corbyn. Most of the things in the Labour manifesto don't apply to Scotland.

hollow shells of people without any beliefs or compassion for their fellow man think that everyone else is as hosed up and empty as them and they're just pretending to care :monocle:

e: like these people are loving brain dead morons who want to channel churchills "witticism" but are so disengaged from politics or the real world that they think that everyone actually turns into a Tory oval office when they hit 40

most of the people at the canvassing sessions are comfortably clear of that

and the labour-tory crossover age is about to hit 50

and the only reason 30 year olds turned into twats in the 80s is because Thatcher gave them a bunch of government handouts to buy them off and turn them into home owning people with shares, but you can only asset strip the social housing stock and the utilities once, you loving moron

This might be significant

https://uk.reuters.com/article/uk-b...s-idUKKBN1Y6206

quote:

LONDON (Reuters) - The leak and distribution of classified British-U.S. trade documents online resembles a disinformation campaign uncovered this year that originated in Russia, according to experts who say it could signal foreign interference in Britain’s election.
...
A link to download documents with the same content and metadata as the documents released by Labour was first shared on Internet discussion site Reddit by a user who made language errors typical of non-native English speakers.
A person with the same username and profile picture copied the Reddit post to a website known for hosting conspiracy theories, and a Twitter account with the same name and profile picture then tweeted the link to journalists and politicians.
Another account simultaneously shared links to the Reddit post on three German-language blogging websites.
The researchers interviewed by Reuters said the websites used to put the information online, Twitter activity and language errors all resembled the Secondary Infektion campaign.
...

So the US trade documents leak is likely to have come from Russia, or someone who is working in exactly the same manner.

Do get some Vitamin D supplements if lack of sunlight is leaving you feeling lethargic and generally down. I start work quite early in the morning so by the time I finish and get home there's only about 45 minutes of daylight left at the moment. Last winter I started taking Vitamin D supplements to try and counter this and felt much better taking a tablet in the morning and another in the evening.
