It's not like M&Ms stores are a unique phenomenon by any stretch. Coca-Cola also has multi-story monstrosity stores, and what's more, they're in the same cities as the M&Ms ones and usually within about a block. They also have 8 foot tall polar bear puppets that you can pay American dollars to have a photo session with. There is also a Coke museum at the original bottling plant in downtown Atlanta.

Brands are cults, burn them all.

I mean, the museum is pretty justifiable, given the history of the area.

I like when people wear single color shirts with a big unmodified brand logo on the front. Shirts that they paid money for. Like people will just walk around unironically with a shirt that has the Coca-Cola logo on it that they paid for.

enough people have got marketing-related brainworms to the extent that there are gigantic retail outlets called "M&Ms Worlds" that sell nothing but every. single. solitary. bit of gimcrackery and gewgaw that you can put one of those walking, talking M&M candies on

in short, there is absolutely no way that there isn't at least one family for whom an M&Ms commercial is a vital part of their Christmas traditions

There’s a Hershey’s Kiss one where the kisses play “We Wish You A Merry Christmas” - it’s aired since 1989, and the only alteration I’m aware of is that I think they adjusted the aspect ratio to 16:9 at some point.

Finally, the way it was meant to be viewed.

Considering that Christmas music and TV programming is already static and unchanging to appeal to Boomer nostalgia it only makes sense that the commercials also keep getting rerun as long as they can get away with.

And I gazed upon those men
With hairy arms as wide as roads

"Hark! What spillage froths

"Pebbles!" The tall one screeched
"Fruited pebbles, a curse upon
our teeth so neglected in life"

The blonde one moaned
his mouth a graveyard with

I was watching some random show about E Nesbit and the person basically said, "These two men were practicing seduction... nowadays it would be called rape." Full-on in-public trying to coerce a woman and get her to drink too much was socially acceptable.
