My 2nd playthrough stalled out before the Sae boss battle some months ago and I'm probably not picking it up again (maybe if P5R gets cheap sometime) but looking at those special editions made me remember how much the soundtrack bangs so I put it on and yep, it bangs. I'm just listening to the ~4 hour Youtube compilation, none of the major American streaming services have it, do they? Is there an actual way for me to pay money for mp3s of this?

There is an official OST you can buy but you could also just rip from Youtube to Mp3 In light of the fact that you bought the game I think it's fair.

What kept Ren from being beaten to a pulp as a delinquent when Kamoshida was still around. You would believe that given Ren's situation he would be considered fair game by the volleyball team for pissing Kamoshida off, to put some pressure on him and make it clear it is the Volleyball Team's word against his.

Kamoshida sees the threat of that hanging over his head to be more torture than just beating him up and ending it right then. We haven’t seen evidence of him using other students to beat each other down; he seems to enjoy the more direct sadism of inflicting violence himself rather than leave it to someone else. Letting someone he hates stew in psychological torture of knowing they’re condemned by his whim suits him just as well.
