Meaney was a stickie for a good while, as in a member of the explicitly Marxist Official Sinn Fein (now the Workers Party) who's president the US tried to extradite for being invovled in smuggling North Korean manufactured counterfeit US bank notes.

I can’t believe I stayed in to watch that.

But I do feel proud that someone like Corbyn has the opportunity to present themselves in front of the country to present a vision for the future.

Honestly, that debate was pretty bad from both sides. Corbyn missed a couple of wide open shots there and I really think that Boris' refrain of "Get Brexit Done" is the only thing people will remember from it. Which is what he wants.

Not feelin' it after this :(

It will definitely trend towards an older audience but the main issue with these snap polls is the question. People cannot wholly put down their predispositions.

50-50 is good in my view given Corbyn's horrible approval ratings. They do worry me though.

Quite a few pages back but i just tested the 4G on my phone with speed test and got a steady 117Mbs. That's a hell of a lot faster than i expected from it.

The only annoying thing is i've got 4 months left on my BT contract and cancelling would cost me £17 for every remaining month.

I'm watching it on delay but overall Corbyn was fairly good, restrained and statesmanlike. Broris just blustered massively, stammered and couldn't answer with anything other than GET BREXIT DONE OLD LABOUR WERE poo poo. So of course YouGov say that he won, Corbyn couldn't get a word in edgewise.

One thing though, Labour really should have identified the designated Brexit supporter guy by now. You need to be able to point at someone in the administration who will actually campaign for Brexit otherwise Johnson's points about just trying to frustrate it hit home.

Sudden idea: Have I Got Jews for You. Get Michael Rosen and David Graeber in on a special HIGNFY facing off against that tory Rabbi. Too late now though I guess.

E: Oh, mock the week is on today as well. Kinda telling they still have a David Sportsman / posh spice joke in the opening titles.

I’m not suggesting it, I’m pointing out this line of argument backfires because the SNP point to lack of powers over taxes and reliance on block grant instead to say they can’t make the changes needed to make any serious changes to outcomes. As well as questioning how the figures are derived etc.

But sure, pointing out an attack line on the SNP is poor is supporting them. It’s not at all that I want people to spend their energy on attack lines that will work instead. Cos you know, I’m a huge supporter of them. Obviously. Can’t be that I don’t want people to just give them ammo that they then use to solidify their own base.

If I were a wealthy Tory donor I'd be pumping as much money as possible into the SNP because they really just are there to keep the Tories in power. Sturgeon is running her campaign to ensure Labour cannot form a government and austerity to continue.

Is there anything Labour could do to actually put this issue to bed? It's not being put forward by people who are acting in good faith. The more we do to exonerate ourselves, the more they'll just twist our actions against us. "See? Labour are investigating. No smoke without fire!"

If any of these people were genuine about rooting out these issues, why are they giving Bojo a free pass on "watermelon smiles", "letter boxes", "piccaninnies" et cetera
