You know if I was a Kryptonian and I discovered that if I migrated to one of our spiffy new colony worlds with a slightly different coloured sun I get the ability to fly and shoot lasers and survive anything I'd pack my bags day one. Why was anyone left on Krypton.

The current answer IIRC is that Krypton had a ridiculously xenophobic and lovely culture and anyone who left it for too long died due to meddling bullshit. Superman didn't because Jor El took him out before it could be implanted. Donno if it is still canon but at least it used to be the reason.

I think for a while the answer was that Jor-El just knew that Earth would work as a habitable planet for Kal, he didn't know the yellow sun would give him superpowers.

Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows #23

Is Spider-Geddon worth checking out? I did enjoy Superior Spider-Man and the original Spider-Verse arc. But it's another 17-issues-spread-over-6-titles event and that's a hassle when I'm going to lack context.

That was a dumb question, they're almost all one-shots or end-of-series

oh no

/e and Edge of Spider-Geddon isn't even in the "here's all the comics for the event" list but it gets Nick's editor notes ffffffffffuck maybe I'll wait for the TPB

If Spider-Geddon is anything like Spiderverse, only read the tie ins and one shots.

Edge had Vulpes writing Japanese Spider-Man.

It’s probably all on Marvel Unlimited.

The main Spider-Geddon book sucks less than the original main Spider-Verse, but it's still pretty bad and looking back seems basically to set up the next Superior Spider-Man series. I can't speak to the quality of the other tie-ins, but the Spider-Girls mini is what you want for more RYV content. Also get the currently-ongoing Spider-Verse mini, it's at least partially goon-written and Annie will be involved.

I think that's at least 75% of the reason Bendis hooked the two of them up in the first place. Their Secret Wars tie-in miniseries was great though.
