how does the horny content algorithm account for horny posts increasing the levels of background horny, causing follow-up horny posts within a certain timeframe to have increased horniness despite how horny they would be in a vacuum? since background horny increases in spikes but decreases in more of a gradient (that can itself spike or change based on follow-up posts) it would have be able to analyze the context of not only a given post, but the posts around it and the wider cultures of 'chat thread,' 'somethingawful,' 'the internet,' and 'the world.' further it would either require a full suite of past horny data or it would have to be able to extrapolate past horny based on current and/or projected future horny. my concern, homeless snail, is that in administering the horny contest you have accidentally created an AI

i'm expecting new horizons to be a lot pared down compared to new leaf, i doubt there's a city shopping district and it doesn't feel like there's going to be a lot to do when you compare to games like stardew

Yeah the documentary above is good about getting into the context of the Pakistani fighting game scene, it's definitely true that the champs are products of their scene, you can't be the only good player practicing against scrubs, and I think Arslan has said he's not even the best player in his scene, he was just lucky enough to get the sponsorship/travel stuff sorted out

it would be super cool if in ac:nh the islanders’ conversations changed the longer they lived on the island. Like if in the first week they talked about their flight to the island, or if it’s different to the place they used to live. They could talk about living in their tents, too, like if it’s cold at night or they could say something like “last night I woke up and there was a super scary shadow outside my tent and I was so scared… so I went outside to chase it away and it was just *villager name*!” and then they do the laugh emotion. And there could be a task they could ask you to do, where they ask you to introduce them to another islander because they’re embarrassed/shy/nervous, sort of like how they’d ask you to take a villager to their house in ac:nl. Or when they’re asking for you to buy something from them, they could specify that they’re trying to raise money to build a house. Just it would be so cool if the islanders/villagers you lived with went through the same sort of “ooh what’s this, everything is so new” experience we do, and growing more confident and knowledgeable the more we talk to them and spend time exploring the island.
