Don't you tell me my business again.
I caught some poo poo here earlier in this thread a while back speaking on my observations at my local flea market - where I am given to shop for things on the cheap and my observation that the whole place really is a microcosm of America in a lot of ways that I won't delve into here. You can check my post history to find it.

This afternoon, however, I had been there maybe 15 minutes before I overheard one vendor and his customer openly say "someone needs to rub out Pelosi" and the other guy say "we have a lot of people working on this" and "god willing" and all that poo poo. It made me sick and I really came close to saying something and starting some poo poo but I didn't and, after a while I wish I had. But I had my 8 year old son with me and, frankly, just didn't have the energy. But it put me in a foul mood for a bit and I had trouble shaking it.

The place is filled with poor, rural, white Trump voters desperately clinging to their god given freedom to sell old, used vacuum cleaners, guns, used dvd's and all sorts of trash and the casual way these people talk about assassinating the speaker of the house made me think of the poo poo Prester Jane goes on about. It's still bugging me now.

Someone is gonna get hurt from all this rhetoric.

Maine is literally the most rural state in the entire country in terms of population. It is not a gleaming wealthy place that can in any spot produce that kind of attitude any more than Iowa can produce it. The only difference Maine has from most Midwestern states is an ocean, and actually being less urban.

One of the things that gets my goat is nominally left leaning people who live on non-coasts just full hog swallowing Republican propaganda about "the coasts".
Magically transforming them into snooty rich exclusive suburb stuffed wonderlands populated by latte drinkers and arugula scarfers.
Like this bugs me because this erases the large amount of working class (both minorities AND white) who live in the urban areas, and erases plenty of rural struggling people as well. Such as virtually the entire state of Maine.
Leading to this fine mess of yours here.

Exactly. Someone is brewing the lattes and plating the arugula for the rich people, and who do you think that is? Not other rich people, that's for sure.
