The incredible beauty of this whole thing is that all FYAD had to do was go "yah ok, we'll cut it out", and the admins would have left them be, regardless if they actually did or not. Instead they brigaded for a day and a half the one form it is 100% explicitly not ok for even them to brigade, stirring up so much poo poo that Hercules couldn't clean it out with the Amazon river, all in the name of not having to stop using slurs.

One thing that's cracking me up is, since the purge, QCS has gone crazy with people posting threads about eliminating slurs in smiley names, or behind-the-scenes pages, and it seems like a lot of bad-faith actors are agreeing with them and/or posting even more "extreme" methods of inclusion It's funny to me to see how fast the pendulum swung from "ironically posting hatespeech" to "ironically defending inclusion," I think I'm ok with it e: like "lol I posted that saying 'jesus christ' is problematic, I sure owned these SJWs" just cracks me up

IMO the fact that so many of them are losing their minds badly enough to get permas or ban plus 30s is proof that "irony" is a cowardly mask of deniability for real unironic bigotry. Okay we already knew that after watching 4chan metastasize from edgelords to neo-nazis with tiki torches but another data point can't hurt. I think that a purge of bigots plus reopening FYAD with anti-bigotry rules was a good course of action but now I'm honestly wondering if there is even going to be anyone left to post there after this, lol

It's both funny and sad that a multi day pile up resulted from the inability of the average fyad poster to drop the ironic detachment for just long enough to have an actual conversation with other posters, and a lot of them are still muttering about the death of comedy now in threads with the same grey tide chuds they always loftily seperated themselves from, under the complacent understanding that everyone important "gets fyad" so there's no need to ever like...explain that poo poo that's completely inaccessible and baffling to anyone who hasn't been posting here since at least the mid 2000's, or engage in an honest discussion about whether they can or want to do more to discourage the many, many people on this site who think fyad's existence means it's ok for them to be massive bigots and that actually, that's the true and original nature of SA or whatever.
