I lurk a lot of places and I've seen stuff like this happen before, but never ending in this way. It's very heartening. I smiled a lot at lowtax's facebook post

(USER WAS PUT ON PROBATION FOR THIS POST)

One of my exes came out to me as a woman and we continued dating during the early parts of her transition. We are still very close even though we are no longer romantically involved. I was absolutely disgusted by FYAD's response in QCS. Having seen my ex go through her continuing transition (I guess it doesn't really end, you are always trans and aware of how that plays into how people perceive you once you change how you present yourself) I learned how it was a whole new thing from them previously coming out as a gay man when they presented as male. They were learning how to be themself in a world that didn't accept them, and they shared some of their pain with me and at times all I could do was hug them and tell them how strong they were. Because they are. It's a big step. I have always admired feminine gay men and transfolk because they are brave enough to be themselves in America, a place where we nominally champion freedom and then condemn people who step outside their prescribed roles. The fact that not a single FYAD or anyone with them could drop the mask for a second and just thought it was another trolling opportunity absolutely disgusted me. I really hope that forum gets nuked, because it does not encourage healthy behavior.
