Got the seeing visions drop because I genuinely like those arts as a collection piece and the card stock feels actually good. Not warped at all for any of the people that were concerned. Also got a fancy ashiok that I'm gonna swap into my Jund sb for sure

More thoughts on it: I love stuff that foists a dilemma on your opponent. This could be really fun in limited. The floor for it is that it's sorcery speed removal that kills the creature before they can attack with it in. But there is so much play with such a simple line of rules text. Put it on their bomb and they sacrifice their curve filler and if you have some unexpected way to sandbag them (like some blue flash-in tapdown or -X/-0 thing) and punish them for the decision. And being able to punish that hubris, to sacrifice another creature for the big brave hero is such a great way of doing the whole Greek Myth theme through mechanics. Probably my favorite since Feaster of Fools. Anyway that's a lot of words about a piece of limited-geared removal but I think it's clever.

Since spoiler season is starting up again, I decided to follow up on something I posted last spoiler season - that I would make some sort of tool for tracking people's card assessments. This is the first draft. The idea is that it rates cards on three axis - limited, standard and multi-format. I have considered adding another for commander, if there's interest I would do that. It's simple checkboxes, so you can rate as many formats as you like. None of the responses for cards are required, so rate as many or few cards as you like. Let me know if people think I should change the choices, or if you like them as they are - I am posting this for feedback. Once we get deeper into spoiler season I want to lock in a format so that the data is comparable. I plan to offer this for rares, mythics, and maybe some specific commons/uncommons (cards like Fatal Push). Right now I may wait until all spoilers are in except for the big commons release at the end, or I might just update the same quiz repeatedly as new spoilers come out. Once spoiler season is over I plan on locking responses and posting a bit about the resulting data, and I may do so again in the future if some cards turn out to be way better or way worse than they were assessed to be.

Diamond exists as a sixth distinct type of mana that you might need to pay as a cost, but (to date) doesn't overlap with the other five. Snow also exists as a seventh type of mana you might need to pay, but isn't represented in that diagram at all, doesn't overlap with any of the other six to date, and also mana can be both snow and some other type at the same time.

Theros trailer was on the Game Awards. It was a lot of nothing; Elspeth sees a little kid, walks towards it, and there's a twisted zombie controlled by Ashiok. She falls in some water and drowns because she's pulled down by zombies, the end. At the end were images of Elspeth, Ashiok, and for some reason, a Black Lotus with a different expansion symbol. Edit: It's directly from MTGO Vintage Masters. Wonder why they put it there? I wouldn't bet against just needing a random card for that third spot for ~reasons~.

The precons for this Game Awards event on Arena are kinda nuts. Interesting cross section of powerful cards but both decks seem pretty well balanced against each other. Easy to knock out 3 wins with either one.

The only way to get the cards listed on your account will be to own them on mtgo when they finally shut that down. You won't be able to actually play with them.
