The Republic of Luna Equestria is a huge, socially progressive nation, notable for its punitive income tax rates. Its compassionate, cynical population of 714m are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich.

It not about if we will do it, not right now. Its about the fact we can do it.

We can vote Labour. We can help others vote Labour. We can convince our friends and neighbours.

We can get out the vote. We can fight the good fight. We can do it.

We can end austerity. We can save lives. We can progress our freedoms and rights.

We can change the world.

If not today then tomorrow. And that's what matters.

Hope is not a lie, it just might be a little late.

What is going wrong with that one (face is longer than it should be)
Just got back from a windy and cold GOTV in Exeter. Response was good, but I overheard the grey beards at the hq saying that turnout is down - they were expecting 45% or so already done by 15:30, but were only at around 31%. Hopefully all those peeps are voting as we speak though. Now I am knackered and shivery and achey. Paracetamol, bong hoot, shower, bong hoot, then it'll be about time for me to black out the world

PS oh yeah we saw a nice bright shooting star, so maybe that's an omen (of the meteor that Jeremy has summoned)

Just voted for Penny Grennan (Labour) in Hexham constituency. She seems nice. Really though, I'm more looking forward to a Labour government in Westminster.
I have no idea what to expect out of this election, it baffles me that people vote Conservative. I'm not sure I've ever even met a Tory, but I must have done at some point. Apparently 54% of people here voted Tory last time!

i appreciate that it's an adaptive behaviour to anxiety, it's something i do all the time. it's clinically studied in GAD sufferers even - if your reaction to an unexpected bad outcome is worse than the consequences of said outcome, it makes sense to assume the worst. that way when it hits you you're prepared - you only have to deal with the bad outcome.

but while it has short term benefits it becomes maladaptive in the long term - it impacts your behaviour and limits your horizons. better to have loved and lost, after all.

Quota surveying means sampling based on proportional distribution of groups so if young people make up 20% of the electorate they'll ask young people until they've made 20% of the answers. After that point they'll stop and focus on the other groups.
