Part of the problem i think is that the UK is linguistically and culturally co-extensive with the US and therefore vulnerable to the same tendencies, like few right wing Dutch people will have read Alex Jones for example. You also have a similar two party(-lite) system that doesnt offer much protection. And now you'll become Little America.
