Also, I've been digging Big Scenic Nowhere.
They are: Bob Balch (Fu Manchu), Gary Arce (Yawning Man), Tony Reed (Mos Generator), Nick Oliveri (QOTSA), Mario Lalli (Yawning Man), Bill Stinson (Yawning Man), Per Wiberg (Opeth and a shitload more), Thomas Jager (Monolord), Ian Graham (The Well), and Lisa Alley (The Well).

Khemmis, Future Usses and Un tonight!

Going to this show tomorrow as well.

I got etymotics earplugs finally as well. I'm pretty stoked to try them out.

Edit: These earplugs are rad. The music was almost better. My ears aren't ringing, aside from usual tinnitus.

The bands were great too.

I Have these and while they are good, get the motorsport pack. the christmas tree style plugs are a bit uncomfortable and the motorsport pack includes foam tips as an alternative.

Yeah, they’re the poo poo. I thought I’d lost my pair, so I bought another, then found the first pair, so I got two now. Love em.

I have a handful of different ear bits, including expanding foam for different applications. Don’t much like em for motorsports as my helmet smashes my ears on the stems in a painful way and they’re not sufficient for wind noise around the helmet.

I found it at Cosmic Vinyl in LA.

My favorite record stores in SD are Vinyl Junkies and Reanimated Records. Check out Red Brontosaurus and Taaang Records for used punk.

Sup, Dommedagsnatt vinyl buddy.

Can't remember where I found it, but I've had it for years but I'm pretty sure it was a brick and mortar store in Helsinki, Finland.

Forgot to report back - saw Om on Saturday at Pioneer Works in Brooklyn. Sound was some of the best I've heard at any live venue - the mix was incredibly dialed in. No new tunes which was a bit disappointing but given the Sleep hiatus I'm hopeful that Al will be working on something new in the next year or two.

I am so super jealous of anyone seeing those sleep shows but I saw them in 94 so I try to tell myself I’m still cool

I mean why aren’t there as many year end lists in this thread as in the metal thread, I could use more tips

It probably doesn't fit in the S/D/S thread but I listened to that new Alcest album the other night and that's real good and is on my year end list now.

Also new Pelican and Russian Circles.

My 5 s/d/s albums of 2019

Holy Serpent - Endless
Monolord - no comfort
Comacozer - mydriasis
D.R.O.I.D. - hyperreality

Best: king gizzard and the lizard wizard - infest the rats nest.

I'm gonna smash out the great Australian stoner doom sludge run down soon. I didn't really know what to do with it and then I realised I have filmed like every single band I have seen this year so I can just post the videos.

Rats nest is the best beer-slamming record in awhile

Still have two 12/31 sleep tickets (going on the 29th instead) and apparently I can't aftermarket them but let me know if you need them and we can figure it out. If you're going on the 29th hmu, I'm flying in and will just default to Ukrainian village bars without your expert suggestions

I saw them on the last tour and it was a hell of a lot of fun. The vocalist was having the best time and his energy was contagious.
