In my state and current employer both men and women get the same amount of paid leave for a new child. This also includes foster and adopted children. So I don't get what the big deal is, since I assume the UK would be even more generous.

I mostly feel bad for Jake, it should really be 2 week minimum for whichever parent gave birth. What Hannah's done in the past 9 months to produce young? (trans men having biokids will always be amazing to me, especially given how aggressively feminine and pink everything about maternity is. Braver than the troops.)

His eggs were used for the process but they were harvested more than nine months ago, so he also doesn't meet your criteria. It does sound like it was pretty brave of him to go through the egg harvesting process though.
