I dont get the feeling that her design is 100% faithful to "an incredibly short person" I think she is actually meant to be portrayed as somewhat childlike

When she's drawn at "high" detail like most of the cast she looks like any of a million short skinny 30 year olds who sigh every time they get carded again. It just can feel weird for a few reasons including:

Yeah if she either wasnt frequently depicted as similar to a child or she wasnt frequently drawn like a pin up model it'd be different but both in the same character probably should be making people at least a little uncomfortable

Murata used to bother me a touch before the cast expanded and you realize he is holding himself back from drawing everyone sexy. Women, men, old men, old women, robots, dogs, monsters with anything he can make sexy become more and more sexy. One day he's going to accidentally draw Watchdogman with glistening muscles and a twelve pack like he's the werewolf from altered beast. Then he'll re-draw it so fast we all wonder if it actually happened.

Aw gently caress, I can't believe I mistyped best girl Fubuki's name. I used to play a bunch of BlazBlue, Tsubaki is one of the characters there. I don't know why, but the name has stuck with me.

I selected the Amazon without knowing anything about the game, and was kind of taken aback when one of the attacks was an rear end first attack. Then I selected the Dwarf and realized he was shirtless and only wore a loin cloth cod piece as armor and was satisfied that most characters were being given the sexiness treatment.

There are a plenty of adults with that body shape. Of course she is meant to be childish, and characters make fun of her for that, but I don't think she really acts or looks like an actual child. I can see why she'd make some people uncomfortable, but I still think she is portrayed as a slender, short adult, not as someone who is underage. Now look at something like My Hero Academia!... And despite appearances is at least old enough to have graduated high school. MHA is a series where characters can have a great variety of body sizes and shapes, but Horikoshi probably should have rethought this character design.

She just looks like a very short adult woman to me. Especially in that picture. Like I'm gonna guess theres some that's a bit off maybe but that one doesn't throw any red flags on me.

She definitely looks more childlike next to other adult characters, like her partner. Her childish appearance wouldn't feel all that inappropriate except that her quirk (or super power) is granting super strength to the person she's in love with.

Yeah, I think that La Brava pulls the "adult woman that's really short" look better than most of similar characters, including Tatsumaki.

Yeah, that was a cool subversion. Honestly, these two series being ongoing at the same time is pretty interesting as they're both essentially an Eastern take on the Western superhero genre but so incredibly different in tone and execution.
