Because there's like a weird red and black insect alien thing behind him 23 seconds into the trailer, but then the rest of the movie is just about weird time stuff? I'm actually a lot more here for that Nolan trailer than I thought. Probably because it's been 5 years since his last film.

On the topic of Underwater's promotion, it seemed like Disney was going to let it drown in the crib after aquiring it, since they only released a single full trailer back in August. Over the past few weeks or so however, they've been pumping out a ton of TV spots and social media ads with new footage, so idk what the game is here. https://twitter.com/WildfireKristen/status/1208395286059651080?s=19 https://twitter.com/EpicTheatresInc/status/1207393667096420352?s=19 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bZRT5NGu4QA happyhippy posted:Ruined by ending....PG-13. Most of the creature-interaction footage seems to be while they're in pressure suits operating under 16,000 PSI - any death would be quick and/or contained. Just give me more underwater movies. Mr Ice Cream Glove posted:The Call of the Wild Looks like they're just condensing all the various owners to just Harrison Ford. Which kind of removes a lot of the drama of the story if he's just owned by a guy who likes him? Also with the feel good nature of the trailer I'm also guessing they removed the part where Buck violently kills the lead dog of his sled in a big fight.

I mean I agree, but I’ll also get some bourbon and watch grandpa Ford hang out with a dog for 2 hours and bawl shamelessly and enjoy every last second of it. It’s like bonding with my dad and my dog all at once!

I forgot about the end of the book which has Harrison Ford's character unceremoniously killed off page by Indians when the dog is off wandering around and then the dog becomes the leader of a wolf pack who is known for murdering Indians.

I don't understand how this movie got made, how are we suppose to know that John Krasinski is such a good dad? Are we suppose to be constantly reminding ourselves at all points in the film, "this movie could had only happen because John Krasinski is such a good dad"

Switching this to "man is the REAL enemy" seems like a trite idea for a sequel that didn't need to be made. Though maybe, it'll be interesting to have the family menaced by thugs while everybody still has to be super quiet about it.

There's a partial script online for Underwater - I don't know if it's early or not, it's basically the base collapse shown in the trailer to the end - and it's written with a lot of wiggle room for how violent the content can be depicted (as written, the whole thing seems kind of boring and it ends abruptly).

The Quiet Place II trailer is pretty good, but I have a general problem with sequels to movies that end on a note of "and now we've solved the driving conflict and are about to go out and kick rear end" which do not, in fact, follow up with said rear end-kicking. See also: the Matrix sequels.

Yeah, that's the early spec script from Brian Duffield (The Babysitter, Insurgent (Divergent part 2))that was being sent around in 2015. After Fox picked it up, they apparently had Adam Cozad (Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, The Legend of Tarzan) do a revision. I'd love to get my hands on that revision. Having read the 2015 script and looking at what footage the trailers have shown, there's certainly some key stuff that's from 2015, but also a decent amount that looks new.
