Ppl say ashes is bad or whatever but so far Sister Friede is my favorite boss in the series. And her scythe is a fun weapon to use.

Found the optional boss and was burned a live a few times. Found a locked room I can’t get into either beside Artorias’ coliseum. Someone had a note outside the dragon area saying I needed a key so might come back later. ATM it’s like the helkite wyvern except doesn’t land. Made it to Manus and had a few tries and got owner pretty fast five or six times in a row. Just cannot get the dodge timing of his attacks down. Consistently get hit no matter how late or early I dodge it feels like. Maybe the darkness of the area throwing me off

It’s time to seriously consider whether or not DS3 is DS1 tier or in fact even better. I haven’t played the DLC so I couldn’t say for sure, but I have my suspicions.

3 and even 2 have a lot of great bosses but many in the original just have that og magic that the sequels can never recreate imo

I beat Kalameet this morning and it was a tough as hell fight, took lots of goes. I think the only boss fight where I used a shield for a lot of it because his breath was so hard to avoid and getting nipped even once could spell doom and his whippy neck attacks were hard to dodge multiple times in a row. Took a lot of careful rolling with my shield up whenever I messed up but beat him down. Pure bullin that I only got a joke prize but at least my best friend Gough gave me a huge rear end bow to compensate. I've gotten most of the trophies in the game except for joining the cat covenant because I was honest and told her I was there to loot Artorias's grave, Nito's Covenant, All the rare weapons, and the last miracle from Nito and Gwyn so might head into an NG+. Just need to beat Manus (not going well) and Gwyn.

DS1 (and DS2) are both have slower-paced action than DS3, which more closely resembles Bloodborne in that regard. Whichever speed is better is subjective. Slave Knight Gaol surpasses Artorias though
