7, 8 and 9 were always going to be a shitshow because they decided to make the trilogy tied to the OT. The three leads from the original trilogy either hate the character and wanted no part of it other than to cash the check (Ford), was never a good actor to begin with and looks too much like Jabba now to coast on looks (Hamill), or was an incoherent mess because of years of drug abuse (Fisher). How do you make a movie about 3 characters you want to show as little as possible? How do you make 3? The Archdruid cameo at the end of the latest Chapo was a surprise as I've been following John Michael Greer for years now. He's a weird and interesting guy who legit believes in meme magic and wizards. He's pretty much the antithesis of a conservative culture war pin up boy though as he's fully on board with the collapse of modern technological civilisation by way of climate change.

The absolute worst that I see happening is a regression to early 20th century standard of living en masse...which while bad, will not free you from the tax man.
