Kid got in to bed with us last night and spent all night kicking me in the back which my brain translated into me being a newly elected Labour MP and sitting in my old history classroom with the PLP circa 2005 and Tony Blair said I should sit at the front to get noticed or something then spent the whole meeting sitting on the desk behind me kicking my chair to make me look like a fidgety dick until I turned around and punched him in the face which was his plan because he got it in all the papers to discredit me but it turns out nobody likes him so I became a national hero and won the 2010 election. Gordon Brown was also there but seemed quite sheepish about his part in the whole business. Luckily this didn't involve me punching my daughter in my sleep. Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone, booze, enjoy and push through if like me you've had to migrate to brexitland for the holidays. Don't be afraid to call Samaritans or the like (116 123) if it all gets too much x

Surprised Jess is doing so well though, I guess she'll be the anti-corbynite candidate of the election. enormous error margins, these are well near "I've never heard any of these names so I'll throw a dart at one" poll responses low engagement selections -> intensely driven by gotv operations

Back in HK for a couple of weeks so I can see my family before being shipped off to LatAm again, and I can report the perfect use for leftover turkey: make it into a congee (Chinese porridge). The heat and liquid softens the turkey and moistens it, so you get all the lovely firm texture and taste and none of the dryness.

Right now opening a stocking that consists almost entirely of absinthe and dried meats (antelope, alligator, elk and buffalo so far).
