Nope, income-adjusted as in, "everyone gets the same relative level of punishment, adjusted to their wealth and income level".

Welcome to Finland, where the court-imposed fine is basically a % of your last year's income. So things like this: https://www.theatlantic.com/business/archive/2015/03/finland-home-of-the-103000-speeding-ticket/387484/ is relatively regular and there really are no ways even for the rich to lawyer up or evade the payment.

There was an episode of The Danny Thomas Show from 1960 that relates to this. It was the episode that would spin off into The Andy Griffith Show. Danny (a wealthy nightclub entertainer) was caught running a stop sign in Mayberry. He refused to pay the fine of $50 and was locked up. While in jail, a local was brought in for the same crime and was only fined $5. Danny protested and Andy explained that $5 to the local was a big deal while $50 to a wealthy man like him was nothing.

Ain't that the paint where a partial repaint/collision repair is basically impossible (without it looking lovely) and you have to redo the whole car? And insurances don't cover that (when someone hit you)?

It'll be a wrap. They're cheap and you can remove them without damaging the paint these days. I've seen some cars go in for a full respray and have the front end wrapped in the same colour for protection which seems weird to me but whatever.

The cost benifits of wrapping these days has really got me wanting to do it to my car one of these days just to change up my boring go-to Silver. The 300Z stays Matte black and hasnt been touched in a while.

Ah, didn't know this style is possible as a wrap nowadays. I just remember someone (like 15 years ago) who had his car painted that way, and then got hit by some guy on the parking lot, and had to get the whole thing repainted, with the insurance of the other guy only paying for the repaint of the fender.

One of the advantages of planning on wearing my vehicles out when I buy them is I don't have to worry about having to choose a color that improves resale value.

.....eeeexcept I'm a very boring person and choose boring colors. So far, white, dark grey, very dark blue, and "white gold" which looks suspiciously like beige.

Back in the days of using fire to burn your drugs, I was at a flea market in Beckley, WV when I noticed brass knuckles on a table. The helpful 8-year old in the stall showed me the hole in the bottom for storing your lighter, "that way it ain't illegal."

I declined the sale.

I don't understand how they could have the technical expertise to build and install this, yet not simply connect the battery to the 12v power socket next to the trailer hitch?

That can't be the real answer.

My neighbor has been out working on his project Honda today. By working on it I mean running it in his driveway for hours at a time, with the engine constantly surging up and down. I have no idea what he’s trying to accomplish, and I suspect he doesn’t either. He’s not actively doing anything during this, it just sits and revs up and down the whole time.
