As a kid who grew up in Tilba I'm just happy it's still standing, meanwhile it sounds like the fires in Fingal down here in Tassie are threatening to hit coalseams that run all the way to Bicheno. We sent all of our firefighting foam to the mainland so now it looks like we've got to get some trucked down from WA ( source was a volunteer firefighter friend of mine who's heading back up to Fingal ).

From Facebook, this is apparently an aerial photo of Melbourne taken a few hours ago: I think that photo is taken from the east (that seems to be Yarra Bend park near the bottom right) so my house would be somewhere off to the right of the CBD just a little way outside the photo. I've been thinking about buying one. RSEA still have heavy-duty, professional-type ones, that have replaceable filters. But I feel bad about buying one just so that I can cycle to work rather than take the bus, given places are selling out. I'm probably going to buy a bunch to give to homeless people, though
