I am a long term lurker here but I just wanted to send my condolences and let you know that the exact same thing happened to my sweet little tabby girl about 2 years ago. She went blind overnight and was walking around the house using her whispers alone. We had to put her down as well and I cried like a baby. She was only 7... it wasn’t fair and I still miss her. I especially feel bad because while I was never ever mean to her, we have a lot of animals and she was always the quiet one without much personality so I never gave her as much attention as her siblings. 😢😢😢

Seems like kidney failure is a bit of an issue with cats. We lost one of ours in the summer to it. Wife wanted to do everything possible to keep it alive (it was "her" cat) and we were doing infusions every day and tests, but in the end it became clear we were just delaying the inevitable and causing the cat more pain. As an aside, went to our vet to give a new year present and in return she offered us a stray that she had taken in. A beautiful ginger and white siberian. Its huuuge! Like Maine Coon sized. Don't have a photo to hand, but its a bit like this, but more ginger.

You know when you are super tired and desperately try to stay awake, and everytime your head sinks you immidiately wake up with a "I WAS TOTALLY PAYING ATTENTION" stare.

 Purpose of Squadron 42?From a strategic standpoint, why did the make Squadron 42? Isn't the team already understaffed, so splitting the work among two big projects doesn't seem like the right move  SQ42 is a lot simpler than SC, so easier to do that first and use the money generated to complete SC which will take far longer.
