is there any chance of getting people to knock it off hurting my feelings in the various threads? i want to make it exceptionally clear that i understand the difference between protecting my personal feelings and eradicating the hate speech that was recently shut down; this request is in no way an attempt to relate to what's been going on around here recently to my own issues which are not approaching the seriousness and importance of those matters, and i applaud the latest step taken given that everything previous was not enough. I simply want people to not be able to make fun of me or say anything that makes my face become warm out of embarrassment, shame, or sadness. Additionally i often feel like i have to exit the browser and wait a while whenever i make a mistake of some kind and it gets pointed out by someone else. I don't want that to happen any more. there currently is not an appropriate place To post my request other than the thread for 'general' talking. Thank you

I read what Cavauro posts. I don’t always understand what he’s getting at, mind you, but I generally figure it’s because I’m missing something, not because of anything wrong at his end, so I got no beef with him. Besides, I’d be not at all surprised if my own posts baffled others from time to time. If I made perfect sense 100% of the time, I’d be crazy

I loved it as a kid, love it even more as an adult after reading about the war Watterson waged to prevent Newspaper Editors trying to make him use generic templates for his comics, or try to force him to use unrelated first panels for his Sunday comics so they could cut them in favor of ads if necessary. His use of panels was incredibly creative and he never stopped innovating, and having the foresight to finish it all up (on an incredible high note) and leave while the comic was still fresh and popular despite the huge money offers he was getting... well respect to him, he's a better person than I'll ever be.
