I learned this the hard way by listening to a book where they quoted Eisenzengroup members.

For some loving reason I still follow Futurism on Facebook, mainly to wind myself up I think, and it is followed by the most awful people. Comments are just full of right wingers and Elon Musk fans. I've just got in an argument about the link between climate change and the Australian bushfires.

It's so loving infuriating. Had to vent, they've promptly been unfollowed (they were poo poo anyway, but it's besides the point). Bonus was when it suggested "for fans of futurism" and all the different suggestions were Elon Musk fan groups.

Well Lovecraft actually seems to have eased up on his insane racism after marrying Sonia Greene, but, uh, still, all of his work. Especially around the terrifying time Howard and Sonia moved to Brooklyn.

LOL. Why wouldn't you just turn that poo poo off for a minute? I like that trash too, but I wouldn't want a random page read aloud to strangers. The chances of there being a sex scene or extremely gory murder scene must be at least 50%.

The Franchise sort of caught me by surprise as it starts out more like a detective series but the later parks are something like 90% erotic novel.

I would keep it on headphones but start blushing when it went through sex scenes if I had someone nearby. I think those parts are kind of garbage and not what I came to the franchise for. But the author also puts plot twists in the middle of them so you can't really skip them,

Futurism the artistic movement and futurism as speculation on the future are distinct, it’s people involved in the former who ended up in the tank for Mussolini

Though some of their ideas and methods were also used by very socialist contemporaries

Yes, our generation listens to people's complaints, watches out for each other rather than victim-blaming, and call out people's bullshit. Witness evil, listen to evil, speak of evil, so that you can STOP evil. A good cartoon.

the italian fascists were obsessed with Futurism, the early 20th century art and aesthetic movement. this is mostly because Futurism was a pretty italian thing and every young idealist intellectual of every political stripe was into it as an aesthetic affectation. boiled down it's basically just "gently caress the past, youth means new things, let's create a new world the way we think best"

nowadays when people say futurism it generally means, vacant technology-as-magic nerdery and blind support for technology "innovators" and "disruptors" as if increasing technology is itself an inherent good, regardless of how it is applied or the impact it has on society
