Orlando's growth boom has been so recent and so rapid that my current office was a cow pasture until 2005. We didn't even get our first proper cocktail bar (the kind with original drinks and jiggers to measure everything) until 2012. Now there's three or four within walking distance, plus more in the outlying towns like Winter Park and Sanford. Entire neighborhoods have sprung up in the past decade.

Hello from someone who escaped West Palm Beach in 2002. It was hot and the people sucked, but the seafood and hispanic food of all varieties cannot be replicated in Pittsburgh. Trump lives there now and we knew he was a fucknugget before he started running for president, but I guess the rest of the state didn't get the memo. On a related note gently caress anywhere in Florida more North and West of it.

Naturally Grampa lived in a condo in Sunny Florida so we picked there instead of Tiny Town, Minnesota where the other grandparents lived. The big plus was going to Cocoa Beach on the regular, and watching Apollos 11, 12 and 13 launch from a few miles away. Other than that, not a lot of entertainment options for kids.
