I want Cats to have midnight screenings every weekend for the next 5 years. I feel like I'm living through history. Is this what it was like being at one of the first screenings of Rocky Horror or The Room and watching the cult just emerge out of whole cloth?

This clip is one of my favorites because there is so much poo poo going on in it. All the cats have different expressions as they are entranced by Skimbleshanks' dancing feet. You've got one cat trying to get in on the action by going into a handstand. Mistoffelees is peeking in from the side. It also has the courage to show more than just Skimbleshanks' face while tapdancing.

There is some gif where a loud noise scares some cats and every time you look at it you notice there was more cats than you noticed the first time. This feels like that.

I watched CATS in a theater filled with some very rowdy and very drunk college students. I may have gone from ironically liking CATS to unironically liking CATS around the time the Jellicle Cats used their song-introduced abilities of unzipping their flesh, tap dancing, and acting to defeat the dreaded pirate cat.

I saw this movie in a theater with 6 old people who laughed at rebel Wilson’s joke. It was weird but kinda boring. Idk. It peaked during the cockroach scene and I zoned out. I wish I got a cool weird audience

It was the one that felt like it was something cats really did (even if Skimbleshanks' number IS the best by virtue of Skimbleshanks being the best cat), and I thought that they did a good job of making Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer look like cats rather than people with Cat features. Having the fur on their faces go out to the side kind of counters the creepy uncanny valley eldritch horror appearance of the other cats.
