Spiky Bits (& BOLS) are well known for posting any hobby related rumour they can. Most of these turn out to be false, unless they're being reposted from one of the more reputable sources. Goons ITT have made their own completely fictitious submissions to them before. In this case the rumour comes from somewhere else, an import/export site that has been datamined for leaks before. Last year someone found the same details covering several terrain sets that came out around Xmas. xtothez fucked around with this message at 21:08 on Jan 23, 2020 |

I was just thinking last night that it's a little weird that right now we'd only have 2 codexes that won't need a reprint for 9th edition (Marines, Sisters). Heh, I can promise you the first codex out in 9th edition will be Space Marines. The bookie's won't even let you place a bet on it.

The models are cool as gently caress and I really like Mechanicus, but are they really the army in the most need of new models? Like I know their design process takes an eternity from idea to production but there are models that have not been updated since the Clinton administration

I've been expecting the main studio to re-write FW index rules, and it's cool to see it happening. A little disappointed they're using it as an excuse to fling more books, I was hoping stuff like that could be covered by online rules the same way as they did Apocalypse.

So now that Engine war knocks off Daemons, Ad-mech, and both Knights, that leaves us with Harleys, Deathwatch, Custodes, Death Guard, Live Guard, Necrons, and the Sisters (assuming their non-rules fluff in Faith and Fury doesn't count). The only real safe bet is that deathwatch fights Necrons Really like all the reveals, especially the Ad-mech. Really hope Necrons get some of that kind of love (Hey, Zoat(s) are back, anythings possible).

I think sisters have already been covered off. Sure they didn't get rules in Faith and Fury but they got an entire codex and model range, and I think the lore from Faith and Fury features them a lot. Also I think in reality there's more stuff that GW in its infinite wisdom may go for. While plastic catachans would be cool in a general sense, as a cadian player with tons of models if all we get is plastic catachans and no interacting rules for the AM I'll be a bit sad.
