I'm Bornholm, curiously free from Nazi occupation. Oof, quite a few problems with the east side of this map. First of all, Belarus never looked like that. Yes, it was long and thin, but only until 1939, when they annexed West Belarus from Poland, at which time it was like its current borders but a little bulgier on the west. Also, where is Ukraine? The map erases Ukraine entirely, giving its land to Belarus and Romania. I did learn something from this - I didn't know Albania and Bulgaria had annexed parts of Macedonia during the war. So, weirdly, the map got that right. But, the Balkan region is probably what I'm least familiar with wrt World War 2, so I'm happy to learn more about that. To back up what I was saying, a work-in-progress sample of my next territorial evolution map

RagnarokZ posted:Why is there an East Jew Point? Or for that matter, West Jew Point? According to the story behind the name, the Joseph Somes, carrying passengers to Capetown, sunk near there in 1857, and 53 passengers were rescued. One of them was Jewish. The inhabitants decided this was a big deal, and decided to name the Point after him.
