E! network is not the same since they cancelled The Soup. I guess when an unpopular show takes weekly jabs are your highest rated shows, that can happen.

The girls gone wild commercials on E! were also great in the late 90s

Don't forget those pre-internet times when you would watch scrambled premium channels for a chance to see boob. I also would tape things like the SI Swimsuit specials, though they were always frustratingly tame.

Summer vacation was the best. no one is home and HBO would show R rated movies during the day so you could always count on seeing someone topless a few times a day. Or you trick you mom into renting Weird Science or Sixteen Candles so you can freeze frame that locker room shower scene. edit: T O P L E S S

Reminder that Sixteen Candles was rated PG. That's right. PG. E! also had that Jenny McCarthy Las Vegas show before she became an anti vaxx nut job.

European Vacation (PG13) That was one you'd make sure to watch because of the topless CanCan dancers. Bachelor Party with Tom Hanks. Rated R but HBO didn't care back then. I haven't listened to the live show in at least a few years. I stopped paying for Sirius, way overpriced at that point, and don't really feel like going to the effort to find the shows online. However, I listen to the old shows all day at work. 1994 is probably my favorite year (although I haven't really gotten to 95 yet), and Billy West is easily the best thing on the show (Jackie voice probably the tip-top in terms of making me laugh). Almost anything Jokeman is still hilarious to me. All the Artie years when he was sharp are also great. I don't feel like ragging too much on the current show because poo poo changes (I mean, 25-ish years later, good lord), but I think it's the intense contrast of quality that is so surprising to so many. Oh well, here is a new Baba Booey GIF I made whilst bored at work

Somewhat related - I'm not the type to get worried about The Youth but sometimes I wonder what impact it will have on kids mental/sexual health that they can now watch triple anal clips in 4k on their phone at 11 years old.

I think Kelsey Grammer/IBS/fart sounds was a recurring news bit. Here in NB, we got a bunch of the French channels, including stuff like TQS and whatever. Bleu Nuit was incredible. Then we got Show Case, which was Canada's version of HBO, and they had Red Shoe Diaries. That channel is actually how I got into Oz; looking around for something to watch one night, and I see Ernie Hudson. Being a HUUUUGE Ghostbusters fan, I decided to check out what he was in, and lo, my love of Oz and HBO started. For years, the static and chorus was mentally tied to the Oz theme song, so it was super weird to hear literally any other themes song after that.
