I eat at every McDonald’s in Europe and while I loving hate my home country Poland, it has the best McD’s I’ve ever had on the continent (France is a close second). First up, us Poles love us some double burgs, so every burg, by default, comes in a double option. No custom orders, or some poo poo, just straight up single or double. HOWEVER, since all McD’s are on computer terminals now, anything you order can be fully customized, which, if you visit McD’s in other countries, is not the case any you might not be able to either customize at all, or are limited to simple choices (cheese, no cheese). First up, WieśMac, or the VillageMac, I poo poo you not, is a local invention that caught on in the mid night nineties, with a pork patty and a mayo-horseradish sauce. Delish!  Double Royals are the norm now - they were a part of a recurring promotion a few years back, but I think they’re more popular than the single version now and there’s a spicy variant, too.  Polish McD’s likes to keep it fresh, and there’s always a choice of seasonal burgs, like the McTasty. In the winter, there’s the popular Woodcutter’s line of sandwiches, with a thousand island sauce, single or double chicken or beef patty and a fried cheese slice. People wait for these all year, and they go down swell with curly fries which are also big here.  Now, the reason you want to go to a Polish McD’s is for the breakfast, which is glorious. There’s a dozen sandwiches to choose from, some of them seasonal, some of them riffing on the mainline sandwiches, lime the Farmer’s McMuffin, which is a scaled down VillageMac (get it in double, I implore you). There are also tortillas, amongst which is the mushroom breakfast tortilla, to which I’ve been medically diagnosed as being addicted to, which comes with a pork patty, hash browns, loving mushrooms, cheese and mayo, good lord.  There are also healthy options,like this cottage cheese/radish breakfast muffin.  I also spend half of my life in Germany and I’d implore you to give the german McD’s a wide berth. Aside from key locations, German McD’s are dire, dirty and have lovely service that will get you what you ordered, like, 20% of the time. They do almost no seasonal items and have limited customization options. Did I mention they’re dirty? I found the Dutch and Belgian McD’s to also be subpar.
