Marketeers didn't get that the Baby Yoda sensation was an extremely high-difficulty proposition that somehow succeeded, rather they figured that Baby Versions of things sell! Like, people bag on Disney for keeping BY under such close wraps that they were late to the merch market on it, but can you imagine if images of Baby Yoda had leaked before the premiere started? People would've lost their loving minds and pre-decided the show was going to suck.
