I'm going to be mad if we can't have glowing fish by 2021. Like given all the poo poo that the EU dumped into the environment either through consumer capitalism or unintended consequences of their various regulations (RoHS can eat a cadmium filled poo poo for the amount of extra waste it created), they're weirdly anal about the dangers of glowing fish. e: chlorine-37 is an isotope of chlorine Guavanaut fucked around with this message at 23:06 on Feb 9, 2020 |

Despite torrential downpours earlier it is now bone dry where I am. The wind is so strong it’s literally blown all the water away now it’s stopped raining.

The storm has hosed up my town to the point where we selected Starmer/Rayner RIP us. I have a job interview with Crisis on Wednesday, wish me the best.

If it ends up going starmer/rayner in the general that's going to be an interesting prospect. Not least in the instance he tries to get rid of the membership democracy, as that would be good grounds for a leadership challenge.

I'd be relatively surprised if it does, and very disappointed. I don't know if I'd even stay in at that point. I joined because we might do a socialism, I don't trust Starmer to do that.

Boiled sprouts are loving disgusting and slimy. Roasted sprouts, as long as you do 'em just right, are fine. Sprouts fried in butter with a bit of bacon - gently caress. yes.

Had roasted sprouts for the first time this christmas (I'm 30) and holy poo poo they're an absolute delight. So much sweeter and flavorful, instead of being little balls of fart.

Ah see I've only ever had it steamed and it's nice when it goes right but really easily goes slimy. I like veg soft but not slimy and that's like a 5 second window it feels like. Might try frying it.

The secret to making broccoli even better is to roast it too. Drizzle it with a decent amount of olive oil, then roast until it just starts to go brown. So drat good.

You now have perfect soft steamed asparagus and two hot plates ready to serve the rest of the meal onto. Salt and butter to taste. The asparagus, not the plates.

I do quite like RLB having seem a bit more of her, and honestly I don't think any of the candidates are gonna shine until they can get stuck into the tories, they're all pretending to be good little lefties, so really you're just stuck with who you think is gonna be a loving traitor the minute they win, to which the correct answer is Starmer followed by Nandy.
