Pollyanna posted:s2g if the dnc ratfucks bernie out of an nh win I am done with the dems A full-forced ratfuck in New Hampshire is unlikely for a lot of reasons. Bernie's in a comfortable lead, there are paper ballots, the election is officiated by the state election board (not to say there can't be DNC stooges there but it's a lot less direct), etc. Fully rigging the election there probably isn't worth the effort. Now, Nevada on the other hand...

I'm gonna go ahead and go out on a limb and say Bernie will handily win with PETE being much closer to Klobuchar than Bernie. I think the senator would beat PETE if there had been a little bit more time between the debate and election so that people could see what a wet paper bag he is. Could still happen! As an aside I'm reminded of how Biden calls Klobuchar Amy every single time he addresses her, just to correct himself mid sentence. Dude is such a misogynist can't help himself.

Joementum posted:this is technically better than a coin flip.... still..... Hmm how about a possession arrow from basketball? Call up the league office and then alternate after every tie who get's that delegate. And add video replay! We do this right we got a multi-billion dollar streaming contract. Quick someone call Vince McMahon. What kind of logic does 'random' make anyhow. Why should a winner be 'random'. Why not just throw the votes out since it can't be decided?Especially since in this country even counting all the votes is too much to ask. Forget about wanting the count to be accurate or fair. pigz has issued a correction as of 16:53 on Feb 10, 2020 |

Sagebrush posted:Aren't unopened decks of cards all organized by rank and suit I looked into this they have to shuffle after opening the decks. Which is really just as bad, *maybe*. If I remember right they have to shuffle 5 times. Which is problematic in itself. The math is something like 7 to be sufficiently random, and less to be much worse. ESPECIALLY in this situation where you are drawing cards in order. So having two ranked cards next to each other is problematic . So it assuming some sort of competent shuffling, which uhhh the IOWA people had trouble adding sets of three numbers so yeah not sure these people are competent in anything. These elections are like examples of bad Usability and process design. Who the gently caress shuffles cards anymore?

To see just how bad they want to gently caress Bernie we can see how many draws there are tonight. There have only been like 2 card draws in the last like couple primaries. One that Hillary won over Bernie (Ace of Spades vs Six clubs), and one Obama won over Hillary (no details in the article i saw). Also the suits are ranked with the typical french class rankings (Spades - Royalty, Hearts - Religion, Diamonds - Merchant, Clubs - Workers), pretty fitting in the Hillary and Bernie case. I do think you can opt to not rank suits and just redraw, but you have to decide that before hand.
