Now I remember my #1 complaint about Arkham Asylum. You pretty much have Detective Vision on all the time, because why wouldn't you want to see through alls and see all the stuff you can interact with. Don't remember it being as egregious in City or Knight.

They toned it down in later games so it was useful for detectiving your immediate surroundings but couldn't see poo poo otherwise

I had to remember to turn it off now and then before leaving an area or I'd never have seen it unfiltered. Not to mention in predator sections it's functionally Superman's X-ray vision, straight up.

Pretty much every third-person action game made between 2012-2017 had some kind of "press button to highlight stuff in the environment" function. I think developers have mostly gotten better about this as time has gone on.

Another fun anomaly is the default controls on the PS4 have the X button as run, the right stick as camera control and R1+R2 doing most of the world interaction heavy lifting. So you essentially have your hand on top of your controller at a weird angle to make it work. Like it being so frustrating made me remember Sony are dropping a Button Attacent accessory doodad thingamabob, which turns your dual-shock into a faux XB1 Elite controller with back paddles.

My favorite thing as of late before this flare up on neogaf is the threads on new consoles where since CES when there have been 0 officially announcements of anything theyve had 4 or so several thousand post threads of pure speculation down to amateur chip board layout hypothesis to the point where it the thread reads like a tech manual from another universe. I said come in! posted:Is it not healthy to have an obsession over Dino Crisis to an extreme degree? Im a person who without irony says Dino Crisis 2 is the Resident Evil 4 of its generation and I think these people are overdoing it.
