It's loving insane I believe is because of the nature "for profit" of mass media. Behind every news piece theres some economic interest. Somebody is selling or buying some narrative. The lack of coronavirus can be caused by the lack of "patrons", people that are activelly selling it or buying it. Kind of how game journalist only report about AAA games, because have many million dollars on marketing, while they ignore most indies where theres no money.

Ebola is much more a "horror movie death" so I can understand the sentiment. Like Contagion is a very good movie but it can't sacre people shitless.

Okay, the reinfection thing is the scariest part about this so far if it's confirmed. Surviving a 1 or 2 % mortality risk is obviously very likely, even if it's not a gauntlet you'd like to run if you can avoid it, but having to do so multiple times, particularly if the odds get worse, is massively different.

Those daily new confirmed numbers from that dead cruise are basically 60-70 everyday. This is clearly the limit of how fast Japan can test the suspected cases. We already know family members of the confirmed patients have to wait 4-5 days for their own tests.

So if we take this infection rate https://twitter.com/BNODesk/status/1228857517054267393?s=20 and apply it to this ship https://twitter.com/business/status/1228856031276564481?s=20 That means that there are likely at least 200 cases walking around in Cambodia, Malaysia, and elsewhere, plus however many got infected via recirculated air on those flights
