Cheech and Chong's official Facebook page is sharing memes with fake URLs in them in a complex money laundering scheme to funnel money from fake dating sites to an aerospace startup in order to make the company eligible to bid on NASA Moon lander contracts. I mean, dumbest timeline and all, but ffs it's only the middle of February and this year is off to a ... start of some sort

The Verge posted:In December, online coding bootcamp Lambda School quietly partnered with Edly, a digital marketplace that helps schools sell income-sharing agreements (ISAs) to accredited investors. The arrangement allows Lambda to receive money from the ISAs upfront, rather than waiting for students to find jobs. But it also flies in the face of the values Lambda typically espouses: namely, that ISAs align its incentives with the goals and aspirations of the students... https://www.theverge.com/2020/2/12/21135134/lambda-school-students-edly-isa-debt-swapping-partnership-shares-investors

Eh, it's possible that they haven't tested the idea with any phone, because they haven't had any masks made yet - the website is just stock photos of faces overlaid on stock photos of masks without any warping (look at the second closeup). If this is just an attempt to grift investors that doesn't plan to ever make a working product, I guess it's fine
