Also, the nerve of those bullies! Like Matsumura was his friend/pardner. Of course he loving misses him. Hell, Shin and Noi only got involved in the story because Fujita felt hella raw about how Caiman turned his pardner into mincemeat and with his last bit of conscience, Matsumura still managed to produce a door for Fujita to escape.

I mean those can be the same thing, it uses CG because achieving the same level of texture with hand drawn animation would be cost prohibitive.

It has been said that whether more gets produced depends on the success of the series (so once it comes to netflix proper give it another view if you are so inclined).

Anyone else think the CG has been getting better over the course of the episodes so far? Or is it a case of getting used to it? This episode looked much clearer and all of the baseball scenes were sharp. I hope we get a season 2 and beyond!

So I subscribed to Netflix for the first time to watch this but it's not actually available??? What is the "Netflix Jail" mentioned in the OP, how are y'all actually watching this. Googling around I couldn't find anything comprehensible about a release date, what is going on here

 and, in some cases, I think getting around the region lock of Netflix. Netflix Japan at the very least knows that anime seasons are a thing so they don't gently caress around.
