Sweetie is preferred, but Sweety is also acceptable. Sweaty is entirely different. Much saltier. On the subject of nostalgia TV, I went back and watched most of NYPD Blue last year, and that show holds up pretty good. I recently added ER to my playlist and watched like 5 minutes of it and I forgot how cool and bassy the theme song is. I have a completely new home theater and it made me want to crank it up super loud like I used to back in the day. Jury's out on whether it'll be re-watchable though.

Fuckin' GM is doing another one of his stupid salesmen hiring fair/training class things next week. He loves making this huge production of basically shotgunning 20 people off the street onto the sales floor and seeing how many stick. Last time he did it was in June last year and there's 1 person out of 13 or 14 they hired that's still here selling cars. Everybody has to bend over backwards to accommodate all of these new hires, he makes us spend money on refreshments and lunch every day for every person, and put together kits of pens and paper and folders and coffee thermoses and other Toyota swag. gently caress you if you're not a salesmen, you can start your job and get to work. I spent a half hour last week showing one of the sales managers how to put together new-hire on-boarding paperwork because we're in the middle of a disastrous software conversion when he conveniently decided he wanted 20 more sales people, and I straight up told him I'm not on-boarding 15-20 people. He green-lighted having his sales manager do it, and now at 3:30 on a Friday she's suddenly going to be out of town next week so I have to show his dumb incompetent rear end how to do it. And then I'll just have to re-do all of it anyway cuz he'll gently caress it up.

So I “fixed” my leaking washer, replaced bottom seal and bearing. Have washed 6-7 times no leaks all good. Amazon had 20% off warehouse deals and I got a pan for underneath for $17 in case it ever happened again. First wash with pan underneath it leaked. Why didn’t I just buy a new washer I was flying high after fixing the oven, but I flew too close to the sun

I don't know nothin' bout no space wires, but I know that my wife got me a pretty fantastic birthday gift: LOOK AT THIS loving JACKET It's a real deal vintage 1980s windbreaker, so no liner, just the outer shell. It's in phenomenal shape, fits perfectly and came all the way from Japan. Also, made in the USA

That's pretty dope. I had to restrain myself from buying a vintage Gulf racing jacket from the early 70's (not one of the modern recreations) that a vintage sneaker/Jordans guy I know found in his travels for $300 last year due to the fact it's never cold enough in LA to wear it.

(the picture is a link to click) There is this account on Instagram called 'Vintage Backyard' which is a mix of Americana and...Japanica? Classic 50s and on Japanese and American stuff. Both my wife and I follow them and saw that post. I went 'aw man that Toyota jacket owns' and she agreed. She then contacted the account and asked if they'd ship to the USA. They said no, but we have a friend who lives in Japan about half the year 3 weeks at a time who happened to be there. We bought it, sent it to his house in Japan, he sent it to us here in the USA. Because of all that though we paid $60 bucks for it. That's phenomenally cheap because if you were to pop that on eBay here in the states it would be $200 level. That BUICKBUICKBUICK jacket rules too.
