I have a pet theory: One should never vote for the candidate/issue that helps them the most, instead one should always vote for the candidate/issue that helps others the most. This is fantastic news for Bernie. If people are voting and the only names they've heard are Bernie, Steyer, and Bloomberg then Bernie is going to run away with it.

Cabbit posted:It's loving pouring outside here in Vegas, more than I've seen it since like early December. Hell of a thing. Ah, so that is where the Bay Area rain went. We are on track for a completely dry February, typically he 2nd wettest month of the year. January was pretty dry, too. I think we are less than 1/2 normal for this point of the year. It's looking like we won't even get 1/3 of a normal years rain. Craziness.

Sitting in an IHOP 'cause they got that unlimited pancake special going on right now. Some olds are seated right next to me, and their convo catches my attention. "The Democrats are having their whole convention right now, voting for who they'll run" "They do that every four years?" "Yeah, they vote every four years." "Buttigag, buttsigege, what's it?" "The gay one!" "Yeah, I like his policies!" "The brunette, what's her name?" "I don't know..." "Bernie..." "Oh, Bernie's GREAT!" "Yeah, I really like Bernie." "Did you see him at that debate?" "Bernie is great!"

Make no mistake, Bernie will be hosed with every step of the way. Whoever the nominee is will be set for a no-holds-barred norm-and-rule-and-law-breaking festival of bullshit. I'm expecting this to be the grossest election in the last 60 years which is why any of the moderates will get absolutely smoked. It is TRULY Bernie or Bust because he's the only one who can stand up to the opposition in the fucks he gives for the game (none) as well as the values-based policies he espouses.
