In what world does Tyson Barrie with an extension make sense for the Canucks? Who goes back the other way and how on earth can we afford him? Is Toffoli just a pure rental or what? Looking through that dude's timeline and why is anyone calling him a legit source? He does the Eklund thing and just connects the Leafs with anyone who fits a need, but with the added twist of saying "ah shucks my source could be wrong though" after everything he makes up. He absolutely has to trade pending UFA Barrie, and probably some mix of Kapanen/Dermott/Johnsson (though he’s injured)/Kerfoot to mess around with the depth of this team. Other than Marner being a passenger for a couple months of the season there’s nothing wrong with the big 4, but the depth hasn’t lived up to the (modest) expectations of them and they play half the time. Barrie sucks defensively as far as I can tell (like makes dumb decisions and doesn't play well positionally as far as I can tell) but if you need offense from the blueline and can work around the deficiencies that seems fine?
