I would have embarrassed myself last night cause that's exactly the kind of FJ category I'd try to pull a big dick move and bet it all even if I had a runaway and then I completely blanked on what I was thinking of as the "McFish" was actually called.

Two categories in the first round reference David Bowie (Heroes and the one after that was a lyric from Heroes). I was expecting something about Bowie in the second round. We got no Bowie. I am disappointed.

What's a literal translation of the FJ clue, "I don't like eggs, I don't like ham"? I got it off "ova" but was sweating cause the syntax obviously didn't match.

Watching the February 21 episode. Why aren't they penalizing this guy for not phrasing his answer in the form of a question?
|
# ? Mar 7, 2020 04:58 |

As I understand it, they only penalize for not answering in the form of a question for double and final Jeopardy. I guess you can misphrase clues as much as you want in the Jeopardy round?

I’m pretty sure Trebek would be dead silent if you didn’t phrase it properly. And they definitely used to go back and change your score if they realize they made an error about that.

Man, I understand why they're doing it and all, but one of the best things about filming on Jeopardy was my husband getting to be in the audience to see it. Stupid virus.

It's going to sound weird for Wheel more than Jeopardy because of how they're conditioned to clap for everything, though the audible gasps and laughs always do seem to heighten the mood when they do happen on Jeopardy. Here's hoping the five members of both production crews can hoot and holler to make up the difference.

So what's the relevance of 9/11 in that FJ? I wasn't familiar with her work; I see how you get the name from "Chile" but glancing at her Wikipedia I don't see any mention of an obvious connection to 9/11. Super weird red herring that makes the clue way too difficult unless I'm missing something. (I also immediately went to Albright.) Couple of days ago: he would've fell short anyway and it's a real there but for the grace of God thing but I did lmao at the trivia champ professor guy who lost his mind after his first win loving up a complete gimme FJ with a simple misreading.

Not necessarily; they don't tape every week and there wasn't that long between the announcement that they were taping without an audience and the announcement that they were done. I wouldn't be surprised if there were no tape days in between that time.
