I'm glad Miruko seems to be doing good now, but now I'm worried about Twice. It looks like he's about to learn about Hawks' betrayal soon and that's probably gonna destroy him.

When he stopped holding back we saw him start demolishing buildings and become a miniature sun during his high end fight. To be a hero you have to be so much better than the villain because you have to fight opponents who want to kill you while holding back and making sure not to kill them in return.

I'm actually not that surprised that Mirko is an engine of destruction, since as you say to be a hero you need to be immeasurably better than villains to begin with, and she's part of the top 10 despite having a power that isn't immediately super flashy like Endeavor's.

Thinking about it... losing an arm probably boosted Mirko's survival odds for this arc, weirdly enough. If she took the High Ends with only light injuries, she'd be set up perfectly for a fall, getting Shiggy a lot of heat from the win. But as beaten down as she is now, being taken down by a fresh villain isn't nearly as impressive. It also leaves her with obvious reasons she can't take the spotlight from 1-A despite being a badass, since being down an arm (and likely with a lot more injuries soon enough) leaves her in poor shape to rampage like this again any time soon. Not placing bets on her making it, but right now with the minimal impact on the cast for her death (unlike Nighteye, who had Mirio, Deku, and All Might caring, or Best Jeanist who Bakugo cares about) makes me think she's got a better chance than when she was uninjured.

I'm not sure the arm makes Miruko less likely to eat it. I think it's more that Horikoshi has made a point of emphasizing that hero work is brutal: All Might, Deku, Iida, Best Jeanist, Endeavor have all suffered major injuries while doing hero work. Even the villains suffer permanent injuries (All for One had his face turned into pudding, Overhaul had his hands sliced off, Mr. Compress lost his arm, Re-Destro chopped off his legs, Shigaraki had several fingers squashed into puree). Hori also delights in setting something up to be Obviously Going To Happen (Bakugo turning heel, All Might dying at Kamino) and then turning it onto its head.

Not gonna lie Midoriya getting a chance to do All Might’s exit shot for shot was pretty cool. One for All being sentient and giving itself back to Deku was also cool. I kinda wish we would have seen Blackwhip since Daigoro was there but alas

I kinda wish the translation had said that Mirko had "The proportional abilities of a rabbit" or maybe "Does whatever a rabbit can (but better)" but I can understand hedging your bets in an age of high powered Disney lawyers In any case, I think she's my new favorite non-student hero. She and Tokoyami should form a duo called "Rabbit Hazard"

So assuming Mirko gets out of this alive (Hori likes her too much for an early death), will Eri/some other healing hero restore her arm in the future or will she get a berserker grade replacement and found the Panzer Kunst?
