Cheer up folks, either bernie does well today, or he doesn't. If he doesn't, theres no need for despair, it simply means the media narrative still controls things, and no amount of groundwork, donations, or volunteering could have made a difference anyways. It was preordained and there will be no regrets of what could have been done different. Even if he does well, this is only a small preview of how far the power in the country will go to stop things. Organizing a bunch of endorsements is nothing, if he was winning in november a bullet is pennies and it would be foolish to doubt things could go that far. Do not hang your hopes and happiness on the primary process for a crooked political party, in an insanely crooked nation.

Honestly looking forward to the Trump / Biden debate where Trump talks about his top 10 red carpet dos and don'ts and how Audrey Hepburn had an rear end that wouldn't quit and Joe Biden mumbles incoherently about him growing up as a poor black girl in China. It's going to be like a filler episode of Dragonball Z where they're facing off and powering up their dementia to release a sundown bomb.

Tom Guycot posted:Cheer up folks, either bernie does well today, or he doesn't. Yeah despair doesn't really do anything. You either fight and lose or you fight and win. Even Bernie winning is just the beginning. If Bernie loses then we keep fighting the dem establishment. Vocally boycott 2020. Make them understand the consequences of their ratfucking. Another 4 years of Trump will be real bad, but only slightly worse than doing nothing. And repeating this whole poo poo cycle in 2024.

Early voting has been happening for weeks with Bernie as the undisputed frontrunner, and if the establishment really wanted to put the screws into Bernie, Butt and Klob should have dropped right after Nevada at the latest. These polls don't take into account any early voting already done. The time to Arzy is tonight if the DNC starts throwing out more votes over bullishit reasons

Tom Guycot posted:Cheer up folks, either bernie does well today, or he doesn't. I said this in the other thread and I'll say it here. California allocates the majority of its delegates at the congressional district level. Bernie will almost certainly be viable everywhere, maybe Biden still won't be even given all this last-minute consolidation. But we won't have the final results for weeks in all likelihood. Bernie is still gonna be in a good position to be the plurality leader, but we're going to have to fight for every state this month while the California results come in and there's still big contests in a couple weeks like Florida and Illinois. If we make sure Bernie is the plurality leader, at least we can call their bluff. If we give into despair after today and Biden becomes the plurality leader by the end of the month, you know they're gonna hand it to him on the first ballot. If they wanna blow themselves up, force their hand at the convention.

imo where we're at right now is the exact moment in the forecast where it looked like republicans were going to hold the house. i'm not despairing until the results start happening
