What happened?
On Monday, March 2, at 9:33 AM ET, we had instability in a part of our infrastructure that allows our systems to communicate with each other. This resulted in outages across many of our services, preventing customers from using our app, website, and help center.

Are the funds in my account safe?
Yes, your funds are safe.

Was my personal information affected?
No, your personal information was not affected.

If I had options expiring on March 2, 2020, what happened to them?
Because of the outage, we handled your expiring positions in a slightly different manner. If your contracts were at least $0.01 in the money, your long contracts were exercised and your short contracts were likely assigned. Please reach out to us if you have additional questions.

Indeed, I think that people want peace so much that one of these days governments had better get out of the way and let them have it.
I've got multiple hundreds of shares of SPY I bought primarily for doing covered calls on, and secondarily for having a quasi-stable exposure to the broader market in my portfolio.

I stopped selling covered calls when I started having luck scalping long calls/puts.

I have not sold a single call on SPY since the 21st, and also haven't been scalping.

$120bln in repo markets today. The fed is expanding their balance sheet again, they had kind started to taper it off since start of Feburary right when dollar index started to strengthen.

So I was gonna buy in some $V visa because they had an earnings warning but the stock is up. I am assuming all further earning warnings are priced in at this point.

Btw anyone here in SDGR? I am sensing this stock could be the next to do a move like TSLA/SPCE/TLRY. It already has gone up a massive amount.

The fact that they weren't doing this two weeks ago is what made the short trade so compelling.

I was going to post here suggesting a decisive Bernie victory tonight (despite all these BIden endorsements) could actually be a negative catalyst, but I think I'm backing away now.

EDIT: That said, I'm still watching the VIX as my reason to sell my SPY puts, and its up right now...

I was thinking that the market wouldn't like Bernie getting a sweeping victory until lunch yesterday but I came to the conclusion I don't think they give a poo poo.

My reasoning under market logic is

It's basically a vote for who will run against Trump in another 8 months. That is 8 months away this market is way more short sighted than that. They also likely are just assuming Trump gets reelected. I don't think we see a reaction to Bernie unless he gets elected in November then I bet the market finally reacts without having already gone down to price in the possibility.

Has a vote on Super Tuesday ever shifted the market in the past? I guess that would be important to know.

Yea I can't disagree with your analysis. Whatever the probability is, it's not compelling when the fed is back in the picture.

Rate cut was priced in yesterday so I wasn't really expecting a big climb, but seeing it drop is disconcerting.

How much you want to bet they fixed what they thought was the problem but didn't fix the error someone found that their API is giving the date for tomorrow because it doesn't know what a leap year is. (or was that a fake screen grab? I Just don't know anymore).

There is no market activity for 3/4/20 because 3/ 4/20 does not exist. Or that is what was floated around yesterday with 3/3/20 instead. I love really stupid programming errors. I have no money with RH but if I did I'd be pulling it all out.

It wasn't a fake screengrab, it just wasn't the cause. That person's IBB account was trying to grab data from the API from the wrong date, but it didn't matter anyway because the API was borked. Could've been an issue on IBB's end, too.

Pretty much. If you want to be apolitical about it it's trying to remove volatility by adding cash. The reasons beyond that are really short term thinking in my opinion.

Ya Fed wants to be independent and not listen to Trump's pleas for cuts but at the same time if they don't cut during a pandemic it will seem as them being unfavorable to republicans.
