You're forgetting that Trump would reboot the FBI Investigation into Bernie's wife if Bernie gets through. The main benefit to the the Ukraine/Burisma deal is that Americans by default do not give a flying poo poo about foreign policy in presidential elections.

No matter who wins, there will be a bullshit investigation into them, or weird murmurs/leaks out of the Barr people.

This poo poo sucks for sure but gently caress it, down ballots are a thing and I will gladly bust my rear end there. And Bloomberg eating poo poo is a solid plus.

Basically, anyone but Bloomberg or Tulsi getting the nom and I'll pull the lever for them. I'm not giving Trump another four years without a loving fight and neither should any of you.

I hate that we're in this situation period. I hate that Joe just didn't retire. I hate that even if there's a good result we're still going to spend the next generation at a minimum fighting these fucks. I hate that the climate change situation is to the point that even a huge international effort might be meaningless.

Biden winning would just mean a return to the status quo, or more realistically a heavily damaged and worse version of the status quo. That's not going to do much for most people and we'd just end up with another Trump figure in 4 years.

Lol like he's going to stick to that promise, only thing that's going to keep him from running again is an out in the open health issue.

Not totally surprised though, people are getting rattled by coronavirus and the stock market tanking and the majority are going to flock towards the 'safe' option.

One saving grace is that Trump's probably never going to stand on a debate stage with him so we just get to have dueling soundbites from death rallies instead.

i know it’s from American Samoa but this is my own personal hell ticket right here.

I’m happy to see Bloomberg loving crater and hope he spends the rest of his days (or at least his money) on doing good. If Biden gets the nomination, I hope he defeats Trump. In whatever scenario, I hope ascendant AOC types gut and hollow out the DNC so that actual progressives can fill it back up.

It’s that or I’m never voting Democrat again. I’ll never be a Republican or Libertarian and I can’t take the Green Party seriously anymore, but I don’t think I could vote for anyone affiliated with a party apparatus that lost to Donald loving Trump twice.

Huh? Clinton won the state in 2016. She got trounced in the primary, but it was a caucus back then, which is a VERY different beast from a regular primary vote.

Minnesota had a caucus in 2016, which heavily benefited Sanders since caucuses are biased towards people with more dedicated supporters.

It's a pretty reasonable story really. Voters are old as poo poo, even Democrats, and they hated Hillary. Democrats have had a long history of hating Hillary, New York was just so drat democratic that they were happy to elect her as Senator. So, Bernie got a shitload of the anti-hillary vote, which from afar was mistaken for revolutionaries feeling the Bern.

Biden's main strategy was to go hard into South Carolina and turn out the black/moderate vote, while trying/failing at the others in a crowded field. He almost didn't make it, as he was basically broke. But then he got such a big landslide in South Carolina that he caused nearly all the other people to drop out. The drop outs were trying to figure out where the black/moderate vote was going and it became pretty drat clear.

The drop outs, plus the SC landslide, sent a huge signal that Biden's the mainstream guy if you don't want to vote Bernie. Turns out, there are a lot of old fucks that hated Hillary, plus hate the idea of socialism / societal reform.

Every indication is that Bernie just isn't pulling out the young voters to compete with the olds.

Edit: Also Minnesota is getting purple instead of straight Blue.

Yes, I was referring to the primary... That was also the first time MN did a hybrid caucus/primary. You could just fill out a slip of paper.

Could be misremembering about how exactly that was handled, but there was a lot of hype about the change.

Sometimes people don't want to entertain progressive policies because it would be admitting that their own policies aren't as good as they thought, which makes them a bad person. Sometimes they really just want to hire more women guards at the child prisons and put up a rainbow flag during pride week and call it a day.
