I wonder if it'll be easy to smash the bell curve in this game. New Leaf gave us a island full of absurd beetles and after people discovered how disgusting it was I feel like everyone maxed out their house instantly. Will New Horizons dial that back to 'okay no we want you to interact with other things' or let you go batshit crazy again with those tours.

So many Racoon Goons... It's almost intimidating. Thank goodness for that new system where you can just post a temporary code and anyone can join your session because I'm not going to bother adding a million people as friends, but it would still be nice to play with folks here. Especially to corner the stalk market. Being able to just say "turnips 500, here's a code" and let whoever show up is going to be a huge quality of life improvement, especially if this community is going to be so active.

The New Leaf thread here was amazing (and a big reason why I drew my avatar). Someone during the week would inevitably have a decently low price on turnips so they'd call it out and we'd all pile in and buy huge. Then without fail someone in the thread would roll the x3 sell price and we'd all stream through, unloading our supply and leaving 6-digit bell bag tips for the host. It felt like Cute Crime. We'd do it most weeks.

I wish there was some official confirmation about how large the map really is. How big the island is will influence how crazy I get with the terraforming because I do want some parts to feel kind of classic. Man I wish I was rich enough to buy a second switch and just use that as a sandbox town. Or Nintendo would just let me make more than one town on a console. Okay, I'm so loving in on this raccoon goon gang tag dogpile. Has anyone thought to go opposite seasons/hemispheres with a close friend or family member to get access to different bugs and fish? I offered to do it with my fiance and he said he'd rather just play through the seasons in real time and that made me feel like a dirty cheater

If it's not too late I'd love to join the Raccoon Goon pile! One of my favourite things in New Leaf was visiting all the creative dream towns like Aika Village etc. With the amount of crazy customisation in New Horizons we've seen so far I can't wait to see what people come up with! My own town will, inevitably (and just like my Stardew Valley Farms), be a confused mess but at least it'll be my confused mess.
