So with house of chains, we thought that everyone is getting replacement champs and juves, but I dunno if that would hold for the new escher zombie girls and lara crofts:

Also, some more lizard non-cats.

I don't think the Wyld Runners Stallyns are going to be juves. My guess is that they're ganger equivalents while the death maidens are obviously champions.

I'd rather see them mix it up a bit than have every gang get an alternative champion and juve.

I was wrong and the Wyld Runners are prospects, not gangers. The models really seem like they should be full-fledged gangers so maybe their stats are closer. They also seem to have some kind of gimmick with the cats. There are even more weapon options coming for champions, but I'm guessing they'll be a resin upgrade set. Happy to be wrong again though.

Pose observations:

Both of those dead maidens seem to have the same torso and legs, but different arms and heads. And one of them has a rock under her front foot.

There’s two visible wild runner bodies.

There are two lizard cat bodies, but each of them has a different head. I initially thought the two leaping cats had the same head repeated but different collars, but the holes in their frills are in different places.

So, the sprue will have one and two and two.

Glad to see maidens aren't replacement champs.

Unless they're in-game replacements once your champ buys it.

Not really a fan of the studio color scheme there, though, I'd prefer it more in line with the rest of the line. Use the dead tones on skin, etc, but give them a radical multicolor headdress. Being dead doesn't mean you have to be dull.

Yeah, apparently the Forgeworld bounty hunter is also an Escher zombie and looks much better with just a normal paint scheme but an elaborate headdress:

The death maidens, runners, and cats are all in the same kit. I guess not having to include huge stimmers and giant industrial equipment freed up some sprue space. :v:

The box for the new AT knights is also in the background. The acherons and castigators are in the same kit.

I was going to say the same. The white head sticks out as being a bit off. Could just be the photo though.

The edges might need a bit of clean up, but I did not notice some dust stuck on his head when taking the pic. :smith: that head already has 4 or 5 layers of greyseer on it.

So I picked up some Palanite Enforcers so I can be the nofun police.

What's with the very restricted posing for the Concussion rifle? It's very disappointing that there's no version set up for being carried in both hands or any hand options that aren't holding a weapon for the opposite hand.

I ended up having to put a pistol in the opposite hand of each of my sergeants because I couldn't be bothered to start cutting bits up.

How did you guys deal with this, and is the Subjugator kit less restrictive in how you build them?

I haven't built Subjugators but I'm afraid all the new Necromunda kits are restricted in posing/weapons. Great details and design, buy they are inherently limited.

The most common solution for carbine, as well as all the other shotguns and bolt guns in the kit, is to cut just above the hand holding the pistol grip, and to cut away the foregrip (the bottom front of the weapon, which often has a left hand molded onto it). You then make the mirroring cuts on the weapon you want to swap with, glue them together and greenstuff the seams. This is straightforward once you're comfortable with cutting neatly, but it is laborious.

No, the left hand either holds a shield or the assault ram/concussion blaster. The posing issue is really irritating and I can't think of another gang where this is such a pain in the backside.

Sadly that discribes pretty much all of the new GW kits.

Our Necro campaign has inevitably stalled due to the Corona so we’re trying to find ways to keep it going online. I was thinking of playing a video call Titanicus multiplayer battle with friends which might be mental but worth a shot. Also my tabletop Blood Bowl league is finally getting into FUMBBL.

How is everyone else doing with sustaining specialist games when in isolation?

Yeah, I was thinking about picking up bloodbowl for the first time as something for me and the SO to do during this whole thing. Realized literally nothing is open, so I guess I'm painting what I already have instead.

Really? I remember watching a stream of someone doing Necro (might've been fellow goon Jadestar), and they had 2-D cutouts to represent models. A bit jank but it seemed to work.

MY LIFE FOR YOU!
Still stuck going into work in one of the harder hit PA counties due to being essential, but I managed to get 2 gang members done this weekend. I decided to paint them off of US SWAT uniforms since I have a lot of fond memories of getting hostages killed in SWAT 3 and hope to bring that same level of incompetence to Necromunda.

I'm feeling happy with them, but I think I'm going to redo the helmet lenses in red so that they don't get lost in the rest of the black colors.

Is Necromunda satisfying as a one and done game, or is it really only worthwhile as a campaign? I like Kill Team, but was wondering if this lockdown would be more fun with gangs. Was thinking about getting the Dark Uprising box. It seems like pretty good value?

Edit: Especially as I like the look of the Palanite Enforcers.
