Sure, it'll be drawn with stick figures and with a budget of 25 yen due to a mix of incompetence, a one week time limit to animate it, and the c-virus ravaging Asia.

Because I'm pretty sure it's actually that Psykos and Orochi are both synchronized and yet also too self-absorbed to realize that neither of them is dominating the other.

Was the Orochi goo breaking that glass container at the beginning of the chapter significant of anything? It looked like some kind of lab-grown monster fell out, but it's not ringing a bell that this refers to anything that had been specifically set up in an earlier chapter.

Giant monsters (look at the couch on the floor in the panel they're sprawled on the ground) that got broken out of their containers (who knows why they were in there) that then got absorbed by Orochi. Because Orochi doesn't give a gently caress about who it eats, the more mass the better, and those were some big-rear end masses.

Probably originally in the glass jars to keep them docile and sustained, since having them awake could be troublesome at their size and presumed strength.

I'd post the panel directly but I'm on my phone and don't really know how to get images posted easily since SA doesn't encode on phones

Probably too distracted by Psychos being evil Fubuki to notice any of that though.

Hm, the way they were screaming and writing while being eaten led me to assume they were individuals. Doesn't really matter now, anyway, being Orochi chow and all...

edit: Above post is pretty conclusive, there. Well then.

Both start from roughly the same point and then diverge more after that.

I have mixed feelings about Claymore. The first half is great, but everything after the time skip felt really rushed to me. I kept waiting for the boy that Clare took in to have his time in the sun once he grew into a badass warrior dude but it felt like he never really got one. It was disappointing

The final third is super messy.

With that said I still cried when Clare reunited with Teresa.

The funniest part to me has always been how that's her final power up. Some mega hybrid giant horrifying demonic creature of destruction? Nope, it's just mom.

Still bought the box set cause I love that series warts and all

Claymore is strange. It's difficult to enjoy it if you expect the typical shonen story beats. It has a sort of organic feeling in the second half from the author simply doing what he wanted. There's a pacing to each chapter that reminds me of certain late 80s action manga. From that point of view it's pure enjoyment.

edit: I have to admit though, rereading these action sequences after Onepunch-Man makes them look pathetic lol

The best part about the Claymore anime is the commentary audio of the English VA.

I'm pretty sure at some point there are arms flying around the screen and the VAs are talking about shoes. After that peak I just played it as a podcast and it was the best thing.
