HHH deserves a ton of credit for his 2000 run I mean, it's hard to drag matches out of dudes who don't know how to work like Foley, Rock, Angle, Jericho, Taka, and Benoit when that's who you're almost exclusively working with all year

I ended up watching that whole seminar. Just easygoing basics, going over fluidity and a little psychology on movement. "I rarely bump when warming up. I'm a pussy, I don't like getting hurt."

What was most interesting about the Omega seminar for me was that it highlighted how bad the "drill sergeant" approach is at teaching anything other than the fundamentals. It probably is useful to ensure through repetition that everyone you're training can run the ropes, lock up, bump safely, move around a ring properly. That's all stuff that needs to be muscle memory. However if you try to drill people on technique, you end up at best with people who all do a move the same way, and at worst with people who go through the motions and try not to be noticed. Everyone doing the move the same way is great if you're training up a corps de ballet, but terrible if you're training pro wrestlers.

I asked one of them about whose method I should use because each instructor taught things a bit differently. His response was "Use my way with me, their ways with them." So you do wind up with slightly varied techniques; once you've got the basics down, I guess you go with what's more comfortable to you.
